You know go-to people – they "find a way, make a way." They are those individuals in your life who have a solution for anything...and if they don't, they find someone who does. They are dependable, resourceful, and they get things done. That's who we are.

Go2girls provides on-call administrative and marketing assistance to small business owners, entrepreneurs and other hard-working busy people. The sole purpose of our existence is to make your life easier and to give you more hours in the day so you can focus on what you do best: Running your business and making money. Quite simply, working with a great support team allows you to be productive and creative to focus on revenue-generating tasks.

Many people desperately need a personal assistant but don’t want the limitations and the financial burden of a full-time employee (health insurance, vacation, sick days, down time, etc., etc.). When you hire a go2girl, you get all the benefits of a full-time employee – but you only pay for the time we actually work on your projects. There is no project too complicated and no task too big or too small. And we make it our business to learn your business and really get to know you and your style!

Remember, time is passing. It is a constant, endless flow. All a successful business person can do to “create” time is prioritize and delegate. Allow us to add precious hours to your work day and take over everything from the mundane to the insane! Call me at (310) 693-4929 to discuss your upcoming projects and your average business day to see how go2girls can support you and your company.

A Note From Laurie...
g2

Helloooooo Go2Girls fans!

I have TWO random thoughts for you this week:

#1: I had the opportunity to go to a few networking events recently, and I got some reinforcement on something I knew, but needed a reminder on. Many people get all worked up about networking. They put on their best salesman hat, shine their shoes, brush their teeth, and head out the door with their best buy-stuff-from-me smile on. And then...they wonder why everyone avoids them.

The people I am most interested in are the people who are interested in ME. Alternatively, I notice that I have the best conversations with the people to whom I express interest in. So the bottom line is - just be personable. Don't worry about selling yourself or your "stuff." Just work on connecting with people and creating relationships. The sales will come.

In the spirit of being interested in other people and making GOOD CONNECTIONS, I am happy to introduce you this week's guest writer, Rick Itzkowich. Cool guy, good ideas, and a pretty darn good writer.

#2: For those of you who don't yet know, my husband and I are in escrow and buying our first house (set to close in less than two weeks!). We are super excited, and slightly freaked out, but mostly excited.

So wow - who knew there were so many darn shades of Tan paint? AND did you know you could buy linoleum in a grass or brick pattern? I mean, really...grass? Can you imagine that? The poor dogs would be so confused!

Building Bridges with Networking
(by Laurie Cantus)

Most people focus on networking in a backward way. They think of it as a process of meeting other professionals in order to introduce themselves and their companies. With that in mind, they go to networking events, and worry about how to sell themselves and their services. But the reality is that those you are meeting really don’t care about you; they care about themselves. The thought that fills their mind is not, “Who are you,” but rather, “What can you do for ME?” Generally, people hire or buy from people they like, and people generally like people who are interested in others.

Look at your marketing emails – how many times do you use the word “I” or “We”? If your marketing materials sound like this, then you are in trouble. At the very least, you’re not capitalizing on all of the advantages around you. For instance...

5 Deadly Mistakes You Can't Afford to Make While Social Networking
(by Rick Itzkowich)

If you haven’t received the results that you hoped for after joining and participating in various Social Networking (SN) sites, there’s a good possibility it’s because you’ve made one or more of these mistakes. I’ve made every one of these mistakes and paid the price. On the flip side, I’ve also corrected these mistakes and the results have been phenomenal.

Mistake # 1: Not having the right mindset. If you go into SN with a sales mentality, you will fail. Sales is about closing transactions. Networking is about building relationships. There’s a time where selling is appropriate in a relationship. However nothing damages a relationship faster than selling without first building a relationship.
